Single Manual with a Single Reader App
The reader downloads one App from the App store. This contains a single manual for them to read.
You have the option of charging for the App or giving it away free of charge.
There is no up-front payment for multiple publications, other platforms require as much as a $5000 buy in to their platform even to publish one manual!

Multiple Manuals with a Single Reader App for each
This is essentially bulk licence purchasing. The model is the same as the single manual. Each manual has it’s own app, the reader must download each one individually.
You are free to set the price point for each app individually.
Multiple Manuals with a Bookshelf App and In-App Purchasing
This model allows for the reductions in price of multiple licence purchasing, but the reader only needs to download one app.
This mirrors the systems of the large publishing houses and the expensive framework providers such as Adobe. The reader downloads one app which is laid out as a bookshelf (similar to iBooks on iOS from Apple).
You have the option of offering your manuals for sale or to give them away. The reader purchases them from within the app.
